Oregon State University College of Forestry came to Alteza Films with the need to create 5 advertisements for use across all social media ADVERTISING. We delivered those 5 advertisements AND an entire Content Library. By budgeting for authentic story telling they now have 20 hours of interviews, transcripts, 100’s of captioned social media posts, inspiring still photos, portraits, event photography, with the authentic emotional, inspiring stories of how the College of Forestry at Oregon State University is trying to save the world.

How much is an authentic emotional smile worth? Not your typical social media smile, but a real authentic emotional smile? Our research based methods of capture show that when dealing with a person who is not a professional model or actor, an authentic emotional smile has a profound impact on the belivability of your product and ultimatley establishes trust. We don't give our bullshit detectors enough credit. Most video production companies spend your money on writing the perfect script, we spend your money on eliciting authentic smiles that sell. The foundation of our content construction strategy is that authentic emotions are your most valuable asset, so we focus our shoots and train our crew members on that.

It's more important than setting up big lights or softboxes, it's more important than the fancy camera or specialized lens. We have those things too, and we use them when appropriate, but onlly if they don't impede our primary mission: making our subjects feel safe enough to be themselves. It's the hidden side of photography that no one really talks about. We know that the connection between photographer and subject is the foundation for authentic content.

Everyone has an inspiring story, but not every production company has the ganas to find it. We do. Our crew members are trained not in the art of script writing but in asking the right questions. Our method for finding authentic inspiring stories is not just to create content, but to engage with purpose.  How do we do that? We simply set up a beautiful interview environment, and let people talk. We ask them the right questions and time after time people share with us their inspiring stories.

People like Luhui Whitebear, Assistant Professor, Indigenous Studies at Oregon State University, on a mission to heal and educate. Or Demlous Johnson, who inspired hundreds of thousands of views and voices in his compelling #IAMDISTRICT8 campaign. We create inspiring content for people like Astronaut and Senator Mark Kelly, or provide event photography and capture for large organizations like Lesbians Who Tech, but in every context, we look for the inspiring human story that will connect with your audience.

Chingón content is the ultimate hook and to capture it you need a camera crew as badass as you. We recognize that production is physical work. So many shooters miss some of the best content just for the simple fact that they aren’t in shape enough to get up and down off the ground 27 times during a 30-minute shoot. Our hustle is embedded in our company. We will go anywhere and do anything for the right shot. We’re proud to bring a blue-collar work ethic to a white-collar environment. Most production companies want to make films. We just want to film. We’re not filmmakers, we’re a content construction crew.

The Films in Alteza Films is a verb. We’re not filmmakers. We aren’t trying to sell you on our artistic vision.  We focus on the physical and personal work of content capture.   That’s why your dollars go so far.  

We reject the hierarchical structure of most video production companies.  Instead we find that an intentional, simple and communal approach to content creation yields more authentic results and in turn, more lasting attention, and more views  for our clients.
